Who am I?
A Search Librarian @ the University of South Africa by day; master’s student by night, wife all year round!
I am an avid camper and am interested in new technologies and social media and how libraries (especially those in South Africa) can use these to provide better customer services.
I’m also into generations and specifically generational workplace issues: how do Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y work and interact together and why haven’t we killed each other yet? 🙂
My other pet love is scholarly publishing within South African (and African) universities and libraries – Publish or Perish People!
Interests
blogging, generational conflict, generations, librarianship, libraries, publishing, web 2.0, innovation, technology, social media
Have to put this one in as well:
This weblog represents the personal opinions and interests of me and is in no way meant to represent those of Unisa, my section or any other entity or person.
